Richard J. Stringer, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice at Kennesaw State University. He received his Ph.D. in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Old Dominion University in 2018. His research interests include drug and alcohol policy, courts and sentencing, policing, and advanced quantitative methods. His prior research has been funded by the U.S. Department of Justice and has appeared in outlets such as Deviant Behavior, Journal of Drug Issues, American Journal of Criminal Justice, and the Journal of Crime and Justice. He also serves as Associate Editor for the Journal of Criminal Justice & Law.
